Costs
Every neuropsychological evaluation or psychotherapy case starts with an initial consultation which usually lasts 1-2 hours and helps to make an assessment and intervention plan as appropriate. The Neuropsychologist will gather relevant medical, social, mental health, and family history from the patient and any collateral source. The initial evaluation and neuropsychology assessment fee will be discussed before the start of the assessment. For psychotherapy and cognitive rehabilitation cases, patients will be charged a per session fee after the initial evaluation.
Note: Patients are responsible for the initial assessment fee even if they decide that they do not want to go ahead with the assessment.
How is the cost decided?
The cost of the entire neuropsychological evaluation is a flat fee based on an hourly estimate of assessment, gathering information from collateral sources, scoring, report writing, and feedback to the patient and the family. It depends on the referral question and other factors that help determine how much time the psychologist needs to reliably answer the referral question and develop a comprehensive treatment plan.
Will my insurance cover the cost?
We are an out of network provider (fee for service) and do not bill insurance companies directly.
Many medical insurance companies may cover part or full cost of the assessment depending on the referral question. We will provide you with a detailed invoice/superbill that has all the relevant information that you can submit to your insurance company.
How am I billed?
Initial Evaluation: The patient is responsible for initial evaluation fee at the time of the assessment. This will be discussed before the assessment.
Testing fee: Testing fee can be divided into 2-3 payments, as preferred, with the last payment after the completion of the report and at the time of feedback.
For individual therapy, ADHD psychoeducation/therapy, and cognitive remediation, payment is expected at time of treatment.
Method of Payment: We accept Cash, Zelle, Venmo, Apple Pay, Credit Card, or Check.
